Medication Management

We offer years of experience managing medications. We take an educational approach–offering the latest in clinical neuroscience and genetic approaches to prescribing. We make sure that our clients always understand our medical decision-making and have confidence in our shared choices.

We engage our clients with an eclectic and supportive therapy approach–drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Additionally, we are well-versed in Philip Shapiro’s Healing Power model and practice his Spirituality meets CBT approach in our group therapy sessions and support groups.

Functional Medicine

We employ the best of functional medicine to get to the heart of your issues and treat them at the most foundational levels. We use precise laboratory assessment and other tools of quantitative analysis to map out the relationships between your diet and nutritional status, genetics, brain chemistry, hormonal systems, immune function, and your psychological symptoms. We gain a comprehensive view of all the factors that create your condition and how they interact. This gives us our best opportunity to fix your problem rather than simply mask your symptoms.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation

When appropriate, we utilize NeuroStar transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to target key areas of the brain that are underactive in people with depression.

While the exact cause of depression is not known, the leading scientific theory is that it is caused by an imbalance of the brain’s neurotransmitters, which are chemical messengers that send signals between brain cells.

During a NeuroStar treatment session, a magnet similar in strength to that used in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine is used to stimulate nerve cells in the area of the brain thought to control mood. These magnetic pulses may have a positive effect on the brain’s neurotransmitter levels, making long-term remission possible.

Treatment with Neurostar Advanced Therapy (TMS) is easy:

  • Therapy sessions are conducted in our office, and last around 15 minutes
  • You can return to normal activities right away
  • You are awake during treatment
  • There are no negative effects on memory or sleep
  • It’s covered by most health insurance plans, including Medicare and Tricare

With more than one million treatments performed, this novel treatment approach to achieving remission is bringing new hope to people every day.5
